Laura
Gras's unique knowledge and experience in evaluating and treating
neurological issues such as MS makes her a natural choice for anyone
who wants to build their balance and minimize the possibility of falls.

I
survived a major stroke in Nov. 2003. During the time I spent with
Laura I have seen major improvements in my ability to walk and my gait
in general. I have also experienced fewer falls as my balance has
improved because of the work we have done.

After
having weeks of vertigo every day when I rolled over to get out of bed
I finally consulted my doctor. Having had this in the past that took a
long time to go away, and having lots of medical tests the last time
that were all negative, she suggested we try PT. As a former PT myself,
I knew that it is a specialty area and the importance of finding a PT
trained specifically in this rehab. Laura Gras was just the person. In
only two sessions we had solved the problem. I have a home program to
keep it at bay. Even better, if it ever comes back I know just where to
turn for fast relief.

When
I experienced a sudden onset of dizziness and loss of balance with
position changes I was grateful that I knew a physical therapist who
was skilled in evaluation and treatment of such problems. In my case,
Laura was able to quickly identify the cause of my symptoms and perform
the positional maneuvers to resolve them in a single treatment session.
I am especially grateful that I was able to go directly to Laura
without having to spend valuable time, energy and money on diagnostic
procedures the medical community may have suggested. I trust that Laura
would have referred me for such procedures if my symptoms suggested
they were needed. Laura's expertise made it possible for me to return
to my active lifestyle in a timely manner. I encourage everyone with
balance concerns to include Laura on their team of health care
providers. Diane Bossung PT, CSW
I
got out of bed one morning and almost collapsed when trying to go down
the stairs. The whole house was spinning! After feeling dizzy and off
balance for a few days. I went to my physician who diagnosed me with
BPPV. He gave me a prescription which actually made me feel worse. It
did not take away the dizzy feeling I had every time I turned my head
or rolled over in bed. I stopped taking it after only two days. Knowing
that Laura Gras (a parent at my school) was a PT, I asked her if she
had ever heard of BPPV. Not only did she know about it, but she was an
expert on this condition. She was able to totally eliminate my problem
after only one very brief session where she rotated my body. I was
amazed and truly grateful for her expertise and treatment. My BPPV has
never returned. Lianne
I
have suffered with vertigo for a number of years as I got
older.
It was never debilitating but it did effect my life in a negative
way. Having that feeling of dizziness days on end determined
what
I would or could do for the day. My teacher friend was
suffering
from vertigo pretty badly for days while trying to work.
Laura
Gras shared how she could help her to get rid of the vertigo and one
day after school she did!!!! My friend shared how easy the
procedure was and I thought I have to have Laura help me too.
Well she did and I haven't had a bout with vertigo since and that has
been since the beginning of the winter. When you suffer with
vertigo it effects your life a great deal. Fortunately for me
I
was never bed ridden or missed any time at work like some people I
know. I can't thank Laura enough for helping me. Patricia Breen
